Volunteer for Religious Education

Volunteers needed:

Catechist or Co-Catechist: Lead a classroom with a weekly lesson. Curriculum is supplied. You are provided with a framework, materials and schedule. You use your creativity to develop lessons for age-appropriate learning. Commitment time: planning lesson & class time average 3 hours weekly. 
 
Classroom Aide: Show up each week ready to help in the classroom.  There is no prep time for class. Commitment time: 1 hour and 15 minutes during class time. 

Substitute: Lead a class when the regular classroom teacher is unavailable.  

Special Needs Mentor: You will be assigned a friend who needs a little extra attention during class.  It is expected that you will attend all classes. 
Commitment time:  1 hour during class time

Childcare:  Childcare is offered for volunteer for the children of Catechists/Aides. Commitment time 1.25 hours a week during class time. 

Door Monitor: Each week volunteer are needed to greet and open our door for students and parents during Religious Education class. Two shifts: 4:15pm -5:30pm or 5:45pm - 7:30pm.

Sacrament Support: Sacraments are a special time in our parish.  Support is needed for retreats and other special Sacramental
